2011 Rugby World Cup Tour- New Zealand

Here are some of the photographs we took when we watch the Rugby semi-final match between New Zealand and Argentina in the 2011 Rugby World Cup in Auckland, New Zealand. The 2011 Rugby World Cup Semi-Finals is scheduled on October 15 and 16. Wales and France reached the semi-finals of Rugby World Cup 2011 following victories against Ireland and England respectively in the first two quarter-finals. New Zealand and Australia advance on the next two quarter-finals held on October 9.

The 2011 Rugby World Cup is the seventh Rugby World Cup, a quadrennial international rugby union competition inaugurated in 1987. The International Rugby Board (IRB) selected New Zealand as the host country in preference to Japan and South Africa at a meeting inDublin on 17 November 2005. The IRB Council eliminated South Africa in the first of two rounds of voting.

This is the largest sporting event ever held in New Zealand, eclipsing the 1987 Rugby World Cup, 1990 Commonwealth Games, 1992 Cricket World Cup, 2003 America's Cup and 2005 British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand. Around 100,000 visitors from overseas are expected to travel to New Zealand for the associated games and events.
