There's an active LPA in Eastern Samar, which might possibly becomes a Typhoon within the next one to two days and according to PAGASA the Typhoon will be codenamed Bagyong Dindo. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has lowered storm signals for several Northern Luzon areas, with only the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur and Abra remaining under storm signal number 1. According to PAGASA, At 4:00 p.m. today, the center of Tropical Depression "FERDIE" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 240 km West Northwest of Laoag City (18.6°N, 118.0°E). Tropical Depression "FERDIE" is now moving in a west northwest direction away from the country. Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the western seaboard of Luzon due to the combined effect of Tropical Depression "FERDIE" and the Southwest Monsoon. The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 P.M. today.

In its June 18- 5 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said Northern and Central Luzon will have occasional rains becoming frequent over the western sections which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Luzon and Western Visayas and coming from the southeast to southwest over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough seas. PAGASA said Talim, which will be locally codenamed Carina upon entering Philippine territory, is forecast to move northeast slowly.
