Pinoy Celebrities auditions for Miss Saigon- Who will take the role of Kim?

Who do you think will take the role of Kim for Miss Saigon Future Productions? Rachelle Ann Go, Rita De Guzma, Aicelle Santos, Francheska Farr, Sitti Navarro and Karylee are just some of the local celebrites who auditioned for Miss Saigon Future Productions.

Karylle feels overwhelmed that she has made it to the callbacks at the start of auditions for the West End revival of the international hit musical “Miss Saigon.” Meanwhile, Rachelle Ann go also passed the first stgae of the auditions and will proceed with the next stage.

60 out of 420 auditionees got callbacks on the first day of the much-talked-about “Miss Saigon” auditions, spearheaded by British stage director Laurence Connor (“Miss Saigon,” “Les Miserables”) and Cameron Mackintosh’s representative in the Philippines, Dong Alegre (“Miss Saigon”), held at the Philippine Opera Company’s headquarters in Makati City on November 19 based on the repot from Broadwayworld.com.

Hundreds of young people who aspire to cast in the new London production of Miss Saigon applied to audition. The biggest catch, however, is the role of 'Kim,' a role popularized by Lea Salonga.

GMA's hottest star, Julie Anne San Jose also mentioned that she wanted to audition for the role of Kim. Will local celebrity take the role or Kim or a neophyte hopeful will pull a surprise and snatch the most sought after role? Auditions will run until November 22, Thursday.

UPDATE:

At the close of the Manila auditions of the international hit musical “Miss Saigon” on Thursday, only six female hopefuls were asked to stay until the very end.

The six girls who made it until the very end were, Kapuso diva Rachelle Ann Go, theater actresses Tanya Manalang and Apple Chiu, singer-actress Frencheska Farr, Emerald BaƱares and Mary Jane Solomon.

Among those who didn’t advance beyond the callbacks and into the final round were celebrities Karylle, Ciara Sotto and Angeline Quinto.
