"OK I've actually overheard this conversation a few days ago sa bus habang pauwi ako. After hearing this, it makes me happy yet sad at the same time. I've debated with myself kung ipo-post ko ba or just let it be and since very busy din ako at hindi ako masyado nakakapag-online. But it keeps coming back to me and decided na wala naman sigurong mawawala sa akin kung ise-share ko yung narinig ko..... the conversation I've overheard is about 4th Power (and X Factor in general)....

Sumakay ako ng bus and I happen to sit behind a group of girls (there's 3 of them... 2 yung nasa harap ko at yung 1 ay nasa harapan nila at nakaharap yung girl sa friends nya, hindi masyadong puno ang bus kaya nakakapag-usap sila freely). They're already talking about the show and the contestants nung umupo ako. I'm not really paying attention since pagod ako and I just want to close my eyes and rest. After a few minutes, narinig ko na minention ng isang girl ang 4th Power so kahit nakapikit ako, I paid attention at kinapalan ko na ang mukha ko at nakinig ako. The conversation goes like this (as I remembered it)...

(Please note that my eyes are closed and I'm just basing the girls according to the voices and the way they talk so I can't really be sure who said what)

girl 1: oh I love 4th Power! they're so great and energetic (both her friends agreed)... I hope they make it to the finals

girl 2: oh yeah... they're something else... they have great vocals and those dance moves... just wow!

girl 1: the girls are great but you know what f***ing annoys me? all those "I'm proud to be Filipino" comments (and at this point, the conversation gets kinda "lively"... like all of them talk after the other so it's kinda hard for me to follow which voice belongs to which girl)

girl ?: oh there's also the "Proud to be Pinoy" comment so I guess Filipino and Pinoy means the same thing?

girl ?: oh oh and there are also some trolls online whose rude and argues non-stop saying "4th Power is the best.... they're going to win... others don't stand a chance on winning" and they actually have the f***ing nerve to bashed some other contestants. Can you believe that they even post their nonsense in X Factor's websites? like, seriously?

girl ?: even in some articles online, there are some whose comments are really stupid and rude... like, do they even understand the article or something? and I thought Filipinos are good in english ...

girl ?: well some Filipinos are not that bad! my mom knows some Filipinos and she said that they are really nice and lovely

girl ?: so it's old Filipinos that are nice then since it's your mom's age group? (laughter.. but not in a mean way)... yeah, I guess Filipinos in general are lovely but it's those annoying retards online that really gets to me...

girl ?: I actually want to vote for 4th Power if they make it to the lives but can you imagine those annoying comments from those ignorant trolls that's going to splash on my screen... it makes me twink twice! 

girl ?: but the girls are great though and they really look nice and humble 

girl ?: yeah! they are that so why can't those rude people be like them? seriously.... 

girl ?: maybe they should be supporting that arrogant a****le who had a fight with Simon then, since they are in the same page.... so arrogant and full of shit!!!

...the girls laugh and their conversation turn to that contestant!

So after hearing this, it makes me curious kung ano ang mga comments na pino-post ng mga "troll, arrogant, rude, annoying" 4th power fans to make this girls think twice about voting and supporting the girls if they make it to the lives? But as I've said, I'm busy and this is actually the first chance I got after a week na mag-online uli. But whatever those comments are, can I just give a little piece of advice to those people?

1. Kung isa po kayo sa mga nakikipagtalo at nagpo-post ng mga rude comments at nangba-bash ng ibang contestants, kung pwede lang po ay pakitigilan nyo na. I understand, siguro kaya kayo ganon ay dahil bina-bash din ng ibang fans ng ibang contestants ang mga girls pero siguro naman, pwede natin silang i-defend ng hindi bumababa sa level ng mga ganong klaseng fans. Pwede naman natin silang i-defend ng mahinahon at yung sa magandang pananalita. At kung continous pa rin ang mga ganong fans, then please LET IT GO! As long as na-defend nyo ang girls at nabigay nyo ang side nyo, then I guess it's up to them kung iintindihin nila o hindi. Please lang, pakitandaan po natin na ang 4th Power ay hindi tagadito and basically considered an outsider by some British people. Sure, yung ibang Briton loves them but it's not guaranteed na iboboto nila ang 4th Power kung sakaling makasama sila sa final 12. Hindi po nakakatulong sa mga girls yung bad attitude na pinapakita nyo sa mga Britons at hindi lang po ang mga girls ang napapasama sa tingin ng ibang Briton kung hindi pati na rin ang mga Filipino in general...

2. Kung pwede lang po ay medyo bawas-bawasan natin ang mga comments na "Proud to be Filipino" or "Proud to be Pinoy".... talaga namang nakaka-proud ang mga girls dahil talagang ipinagmamalaki nilang Filipino sila at wala pong masama kung mag-comment tayo na proud tayo sa kanila at proud tayong maging Filipino pero huwag naman po na yun at yun na lang din ang ico-comment natin sa bawat post or article na tungkol sa girls... ang suggestion ko lang po ay pwede naman sigurong sabihin na lang natin na, "we are proud of you, 4th Power!"

3. Bibigyan ko po kayo ng numbers and you do the math! Ang videos ng 4th Power sa youtube ay umaabot na ng 20 million at yun ay sa first audition pa lang nila at ang 6-chair challenge video nila ay nasa 5 million. It's really a superb number of views at talaga namang makakatulong sa girls na mabigyan sila ng recording contract kahit hindi sila manalo. Saying that, ang ratings po ng X Factor ay lampas lang ng 7 million viewers (and I think it's getting higher each week) at sa 7 million viewers na yun, hindi po lahat ay suportado ang 4th Power so huwag po natin i-assume na "4th Power will win"... let's just hope and pray and support the girls! Ire-remind ko lang po kayo na ang pwede lang bumoto ay ang UK viewers...

4. wag nyo pong asahan ang LAHAT ng Filipino na manood at bumoto. Sure, the girls are totally supported by the Filipino community here pero sa mga wala pong idea, karamihan sa mga Filipino dito ay migrant workers at meron ding mga students. Halos karamihan po sa amin dito ay nagtatrabaho hanggang hatinggabi at yung iba ay hindi nanonood ng show dahil may iba-iba din silang interests. At kung ikukumpara nyo po ang number namin against sa mga Briton... we are totally outnumbered!

5. And last but not least, sabi nga nung mga girls dun sa bus, "the girls are great though and they really look nice and humble so why can't those rude people be like them?".... napapamahal ang 4th Power sa mga British dahil magagaling sila and they are a breath of fresh air at dahil na rin humble sila at malaki ang pasasalamat nila sa mga sumusuporta sa kanila.... ang tanong ko lang, will it really kill us kung gayahin natin ang pagiging nice and humble nila at pabayaan na lang natin ang mga taong hindi sumusuporta sa kanila? I don't think so! if ever, I think mas makakabuti sa mga girls kung maging nice and humble din tayong katulad nila at huwag na lang makipagtalo sa mga fans ng ibang contestants! at kung pwede po sana ay mag-ingat din tayo sa mga pananalita natin tungkol sa ibang contestants. Kung wala po tayong masasabing maganda at manlalait din lang tayo, mas mabuti pang hwag na lang tayong magsalita (and keep the bad comments to yourself!).... huwag po nating sirain ang chances ng mga girls sa competition ng dahil lang sa pride at sa mga harsh and rude comments na binibitawan ng iba sa atin....

So here's for 4th Power and I really hope that they make it far in the competition! Good luck girls!
