JUST IN: Alyssa Valdez will skipper the women's volleyball team that will see action in the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games in May according to One Sports report.
The final line-up for the Philippines Men and Women's vollyball team has been named. For the women's team, seven players from Creamline Cool Smashers who just won their back to back PVL All-Filipino Conference Championship will represent the country in SEA Games 2023. Kat Tolention from Choco Mucho Flying Titans and Mylene Paat from Chery Tiggo Cross-overs are included in the final line-up. The start of Volleyball competition is on May 1 which is two days earlier than the opening ceremony of the event.
According to PNVF President Tats Suzara, speaking of the Women's composition, this is so far the most formidable line-up in the history of Philippine National Team.
However, Mark Espejo and Bryan Bagunas earlier refused the offer to represent the country in the upcoming SEA Games 2023. Vince Mangulabnan will be the team captain in the men's team.
