Pilipinas-Smart Gilas rallied from a five-point halftime deficit to dump Malaysia, 97-71, in the 9th Southeast Asian Basketball Association (SEABA) men's championship Thursday at the BritAma Arena Sports Mall in Jakarta, Indonesia.
JV Casio scored 15 of his team-high 19 points in the third quarter to help Gilas turn a 41-36 halftime deficit to a 63-57 advantage entering the final 10 minutes of the contest.
Japeth Aguilar then took over in the final quarter as the 6-foot-11 big man scored eight points and grabbed three rebounds in a 16-2 exchange that gave Gilas a 20-point bulge with four minutes and 50 seconds left in the game. Read Full Story...
