The U.S. Geological Service issued, then canceled, a tsunami warning for Alaska's Aleutian Islands. The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake struck in the waters at about 6:55 a.m. ET. There were no reports of injuries or damage, according to Alaska's KTUU.com.
