Orcollo loses to Souquet in World Pool finals

MANILA, Philippines (2nd UPDATE) - It was supposed to be a fairy tale ending for the world's #1-ranked player Dennis Orcollo at the World Pool Masters as he was aiming to be the first back-to-back champion of the19-year-old tournament as well as finally bagging his first-ever title on home soil.

Orcollo, who arguably was the hottest player for the tournament the way he demolished his opponents en route to the final, ceratinly had all the motivation to take it all the way, but he had to go through a Hall of Famer in 5-time World Pool Masters champion Ralf Souquet of Germany.

It started out competive for both men, trading racks until a tie at 3-3, then Orcollo opted to change his break and take it from the right side.
