UST's Abdul Karim likely to miss game against NU

University of Santo Tomas (UST) big man Karim Abdul is likely to miss the Growling Tigers' final game against National University on Sunday after the rookie from Cameroon recorded his second unsportsmanlike foul of the season.

Abdul incurred the infraction in UST’s 77-73 win over Far Eastern University Thursday after he elbowed the Tamaraws' John Foronda in the face with still 81 seconds left in the fourth period.

UAAP basketball commissioner Andy Jao said that Abdul will be suspended based on the league's house rules although the technical committee will make a final decision on Saturday.

"We have to abide by the rules and based on the rules, he will be suspended," Jao said. “I think the referees made the right call." Read Full Story...
