Catch “I Want Peace” Concerts 2012 with Sponge Cola, Itchyworms and more!
Top local bands will rock together for peace in “I Want Peace” concerts to be simultaneously staged in four regional locations on September 28, 2012, capping this year’s Peace Month celebration, Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Teresita Quintos Deles announced.
Among the top performers on the events are, Sponge Cola, Pedicab, Paolo Santos and Ernville at the SM North Skydome at 6 pm; in Baguio City, with Sandwich and Ebe Dancel at the Session Road Rotonda at 6:30 pm; in Iloilo City, with Itchyworms and Khamulang, Nadalman and Micromachines at the University of Iloilo at 6pm; and in Davao City, with singer-songwriter Barbie Almabis and Anne Mendoza, The Sound of Go, and Friendship Lagoon at the Matina Campus Gym at the University of Mindanao at 6:30 p.m.
In celebration of the 9th National Peace Consciousness Month, with the
theme, “Ako. Ikaw. Tayo. Magkakaiba, Nagkakaisa sa Kapayapaan,” various
activities have been organized by the OPAPP throughout September
including a football clinic, an “I am for Peace” campaign launch, and a
job fair and cultural festival.
