Deployment of OFWs to Jordan and Lebanon now re-open

Filipinos now have a chance again to work in Lebanon and Jordan after DOLE lifted the ban on two counries.

The DOLE lifted the ban after the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration's (POEA) governing board issued a resolution allowing Filipinos to be deployed to the Middle East nations accordong to AKTV news.

“This means the deployment ban to Jordan is now 100 percent lifted and our workers there can now return home, and we can also send newly hired workers there,” said DOLE secretary Rosalinda Baldoz.

About 6,000 Filipinos had been deployed to Jordan from 2006 to 2011, according to the DOLE.
