PRC announce correction on October 2012 CPA Board Exam Results

The October 2012 CPA Board Exam Erroneous publication of the list of passers was corrected by PRC.

The Professional Regulations Commission issues on Monday, November 5 an Erratum on the Performance of Schools in the October 2012 CPA Exam.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) today issued a statement to correct the erroneous publication of the list of passers of the CPA Licensure Examination conducted last October 2012 which indicated that the University of the Philippines – Visayas – Cebu City did not have any board passers. UP Visayas Cebu City does not offer Accountancy as a course.

PRC explained that the error occurred because the examinee chose the option of “University of the Philippines – Visayas – Cebu City” instead of “University of the Visayas – Cebu City” from the drop down menu while filling out her on-line application form. The erroneous data generated by the system was subsequently published along with the results.
The Commission has subsequently rectified the error in the database of the Performance of Schools and apologized to UP Visayas – Cebu City for the oversight.
