Bureau of Customs (BOC) Commissioner Ruffy Biazon, Deputy Commissioner for Intelligence Group (IG) Danilo Lim and Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) Director Fernandino Tuazon today (January 29, 2013) led other customs officials in inspecting two 40-foot container vans of signature fabrics and fake Ajinomoto Seasoning Mix with an estimated value of P316,200,000, which two days from its January 11, 2013, arrival at the Manila International Container Port (MICP), were seized by BOC Intellectual Property Rights Division (IPRD) operatives under lawyer Zsae Carrie de Guzman and Manila International Container Port (MICP) Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) operatives under Bienvenido Rubio, last January 14, 2013, for violation of the Tariffs and Customs Code of the Philippines (TCCP) and the Intellectual Property Code (IPC). The hot shipments were declared as fabrics, raw materials for shoes and wearing apparel.

In presenting the seized items to the media, Biazon explained that the two 40-footer container vans were consigned to two different consignees. “The container van from Thailand which had 55 rolls of Louis Vuitton, 156 rolls of Chanel, and 475 rolls of Mickey Mouse fabrics was consigned to Trio AV Trading. While the other container van from China which had 1,120 pieces of fake seasoning mix was consigned to Skyever Import and Export Trader, Inc,” Biazon said.
