The Philippines was promoted as one of the top tourism destinations in Asia in the recent Holiday World Tourism Fair held on February 7 to 10 at the Holesovice Exhibition Center in the Czech capital, Prague.
ESO Travel, one of the leading international and domestic travel agencies in the Czech Republic, partnered with the Philippine Embassy in Prague, the Department of Tourism, and AAP Lakbay in promoting the Philippines as the preferred tourist destination in Asia under the auspices of the Miss Czech 2013. It prepared posters and roll-ups that featured Boracay and Palawan, which were given out to clients and visitors in the fair.
On its 22nd year, Holiday World offered exhibits from different countries and a series of seminars, conferences and workshops on key topics in the tourism industry. It also featured the travel film entitled, ”World Film” as an added attraction to the Fair.
Forty seven countries participated in Holiday World which included Austria, Egypt, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, China, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Russia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Thirty two thousand, one hundred thirty eight (32,138) visitors visited the tourism fair this year.
The Holiday World Tourism Fair, organized by Incheba Praha, is the most important tourism exhibition by foreign and domestic travel agencies located in Central Europe. It is held simultaneously with the TOP Gastro and Hotel Fair and Golf Show.
