Silver medal finish, Gilas booked a ticket to next year’s basketball competition along with champion Iran and third-placer South Korea.

In recognition of its silver medal finish in the FIBA Asia Championship, Senator Juan Edgardo Angara filed a resolution commending the Philippine national men’s basketball team.

With the win, Gilas Pilipinas qualified for the FIBA World Cup in Spain next year.
