Megan Young wins Miss World 2013- Video Replay

Megan Young becomes the first Filipina to win the Miss World 2013 crown during the coronation night on September 28 (Saturday) in Bogor, Indonesia.

The beauty queen hopeful goes down in history as the first-ever Filipina to win Miss World—breaking a popular urban legend that no Filipina will ever win the title,according to Yahoo Report.

On the triumph of Ms. Megan Young in the Miss World Pageant

The Aquino administration joins the Filipino people in congratulating Ms. Megan Young for being crowned Miss World 2013.
Over the course of the competition, Ms. Young displayed to the world the beauty, the grace, and the compassionate spirit of the Filipina, and has become a source of great pride and inspiration for the Filipino people. Our administration is especially proud of Ms. Young’s achievement, since it affirms not only her beauty and talent, but also her constant effort to be an engaged citizen of the country, even serving as one of our National Peace Ambassadors.
May her triumph remind all Filipinos of what we are capable of; and may her example further emphasize the virtues of answering, in our own ways, the call to take part in the collective task of nation building.
