The fans and the academe of Nora Aunory are not giving up without a fight, as they launched on Wednesday a signature campaign to have Nora Aunor declared a National Artist, according to GMA News.
“As soon as we gather one million signatures, we will organize a public ceremony to confer the award to Ms. Nora Aunor,” said Zandro Rapadas, convenor of the Nora Aunor for National Artist Movement, in a forum held at the Ateneo De Manila University in Quezon City.
Earlier, President Benigno Aquino III admitted on Tuesday that drugs was the reason he rejected Nora Aunor's nomination as National Artist for film.
