Marlisa Ann Punzalan is a 14 year-old contestant from Glendenning, New South Wales. She is of Filipino descent and began singing at the age of four. Aside from singing, she also plays the piano.Punzalan cites Eva Cassidy and Jessica Mauboy as her musical influences. She previously auditioned for the seventh series of Australia's Got Talentin 2013. Prior to entering The X Factor, she was a student at Mercy Catholic College and a regular performer at charity events, eisteddfods and RSL competitions.
Mentored by Ronan Keating, she remains the strongest bet of the Irish lead singer of Boyzone to the Grand Finals.
After belting out Disney Frozen's 'Let It Go' and Never be the Same the youngest contestant at 14 on the show successfully performed her rendition of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" during Sunday's live show.
