According to the report from Official Gazette, during an inspection of NAIA Terminal 1 on March 3, 2015, Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte tweeted out photos of the renovated terminal’s interior (see below). According to Terminal 1 manager Dante Basanta, around 80% of programmed works in NAIA Terminal 1 have been completed. Repairs in passenger movement areas such as the arrival and departure areas are expected to be finished by March 31, 2015.
This is the first time in 30 years that NAIA Terminal 1 has undergone considerable renovation and rehabilitation. Selected facilities in the terminal have been renovated while new facilities have also been added.
