Rumors about “Super Typhoon Agaton” hitting the Philippines on January 16 to 17 has been spreading on Facebook and Twitter like wildfire as netizens posted warnings and prayers for fellow Filipinos.
Philippine Weather Bureau, PAGASA is yet to confirm the news circulating though.
Meanwhile, according to PAGASA as of today- January 13, 2014, there is no tropical cyclone existing within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Strong to gale force winds is expected to affect the seaboards of Northern Luzon, eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon, the eastern seaboards of Visayas, Mindanao and Davao del Sur.
