The tournament has organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation, in association with Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. (LVPI), the newly-formed NSA for Volleyball in the Philippines.
The 2015 Asian U23 Women’s Volleyball Championship is scheduled to held on 1 to 9 May 2015 in Pasig, Philippines. It will be the inaugural edition of the tournament and will serve as the Asian qualifiers for the 2015 FIVB Women's U23 Volleyball World Championship to be held in Ankara, Turkey with the top two teams qualifying for the world championship.
UAAP back-to-back Most Valuable Player Alyssa Valdez will skipper Team Pilipinas in its campaign in the inaugural Asian Women’s U-23 Volleyball Championship set on May 1 to 9 to be held at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
The Ateneo De Manila star, who will also carry the national color in the Singapore Southeast Asian Games on June, is at the forefront of the official 12-girl squad composed of the country’s top collegiate players. source: ballschannel.tv
