In a televised speech 2 days after he resigned from the Cabinet, Vice President Jejomar Binay said he is fighting for a government that is capable and cares.
"Ito ang aking ipinaglalaban. Ito rin ang hangarin ng ating mga kababayan: isang pamahalaang kabaliktaran ng manhid at palpak na pamahalaan ngayon," he said.
As then chief of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) and Presidential Adviser on Overseas Filipino Workers' (OFW) Concerns, Binay said he was able to hear the public's complaints on lack of opportunities to rise from poverty.
You Against Crime and Corruption (YACAP) Rep. Carol Jane Lopez took on a lighter note and said of Binay’s speech: “Eh di wow. Push nya yan.”

@rapplerdotcom Very much expected of him. But at least, he can now speak as the real opposition. Now, we see the Binay brand of politics.

Though Binay may be right about the government's negligence for he's apparently stolen billions and yet still free as a crow (yeah I did)

Bash pa more Binay. Lets see kung hindi mag-backfire sayo like what you did to Poe. Hahaha.

What irks me most is that Binay still has the audacity to say that he wants a gov't that will benefit most Filipinos despite what happened
— Jerome Infante (@jomskywalker) June 24, 2015
I think Binay is right about the gov't as a failure because he's obviously stolen billions & yet still free as an ugly black bird.

— RonGadugdug (@iThunderr) June 24, 2015
I will remember Binay as a person who ran away and ate his word. a person who backed out because of his bigger "plans". wrong move.

Vice President Binay really don't deserve to be the next president of our country, enough said.

Just a personal opinion, but I am annoyed at how Binay is probably assuming that he can fool Filipinos. Pinagmumukha tayong tanga.
