President Aquino's satisfaction ratings elevate on 3rd Quarter

President Aquino's satisfaction ratings go up in the third quarter of 2015.

Statement: Presidential Spokesperson on the Third Quarter 2015 SWS Survey.

The latest survey results from the Social Weather Stations (SWS) show gross satisfaction with the President rising from 57% last quarter to 64%, and dissatisfaction falling from 27% to 22%. This increase in satisfaction ratings is reflected across all socioeconomic classes and geographic areas—with the exception of Mindanao, which dropped by 2 percentage points, within the margin of error.

More than just an affirmation of President Aquino’s leadership, these figures reflect the public’s confidence in Daang Matuwid. Over the past five years, the administration has continually sought to better the lives of Filipinos through widespread reforms and the expansion of social programs such as PhilHealth and the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. These investments in our people, the country’s most importance resource, are meant to spark a virtuous cycle of growth and empowerment, and thus help usher in a more prosperous future for coming generations of Filipinos.

This latest vote of confidence from the public confirms the significance of our strides toward inclusivity. The effects of Daang Matuwid are visible all around us: from ongoing or recently completed infrastructure projects to credit rating upgrades and improvements in global surveys, among many other signs of progress. The challenge now, as we approach another crossroads in our history, is to continue Daang Matuwid and ensure that the gains we have achieved will not be erased, but rather serve as the foundation for even more reforms and advancements.
