Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza (AlDub) Top 2015 Google Search for Local Celebrities. Alden Richards is the top most searched local male celebrities following Pope Francis followed by Manny Pacquiao at No. 6 and Darren Espanto at No. 9.
Maine Mendoza is at No. 1 for the most searched local female celebrity followed by Ella Cruz at No. 6 and Pastillas Girl at No. 9.
AlDub is also the most search word in Google Philippines followed by Dubsmash at No. 5 while Comelec is at No. 10.
“Year in Search is Google’s way of looking back at the moments that captured the people’s interest throughout the year,” Google Philippines communications and public affairs head Gail Tan said.
AlDub Love Team was featured in BBC News Asia and CNN Philippines earlier. Making them the first ever love team to be featured in News Channel.
