Get Foreign scholarships for graduate studies now available for HEI faculty, staff.

Foreign scholarships expose higher education faculty and staff to expertise and training in emerging disciplines that are still in the initial stages of development locally, and paves the way for leadership of specific sectors, both in academe and in the practice of particular professions.

There are four types of grants under foreign scholarships that faculty and staff can choose from, depending on need and eligibility:

Start-up Grant for Foreign Studies Application

This addresses the challenge encountered by prospective scholars who wish to pursue further studies in foreign universities, but are constrained by high costs of required examinations, such as:
graduate record examination (GRE)
test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL)
international English testing system (IELTS)

Qualified recipients shall be awarded vouchers to cover costs of the above-mentioned examinations.

Ph.D Sandwich Program

Scholars who have completed the all required coursework in a Philippine higher education institution (home HEI) may conduct a maximum of one year of dissertation research in host HEI abroad, and return to the home HEI to complete dissertation writing.

Partial Support for Foreign Master’s and Doctoral Studies

Scholars who have already gained admission in top-ranking HEIs abroad, but remain constrained by lack of resources for tuition, lodging, and other expenses, may avail of this grant.

Full Scholarships for Master’s and Doctoral Studies

The Commission shall make available the list of available scholarships and foreign partnerships as established.
