On Tuesday, February 6, 2018 a total of 30 used luxury vehicles were crushed by a bulldozer during the event, 20 of them in the Port of Manila. Seven of the smuggled vehicles were condemned in the Port of Davao while three were destroyed in the Port of Cebu.
According to PhilStar the condemned vehicles in Port of Manila were a Lexus ES300 1996, BMW Alpina, a used Honda Odyssey, mini Pajero, Mazda Roadster, Mitsubishi MMC, Toyota SW Towage Noah, Corvette Stingray, 2007 Mercedes-Benz S550, Ford Explorer Base 3.5L, a used Nissan 350Z, 1995 Mercedes-Benz C280, BMW 745, BMW 745Li, Hyundai Equus JS350, Audi A6 CUATRO, BMW Z4, Jaguar Type S and two units of Pajero.
Commissioner Isidro S. Lapeña vowed that the cases involving all remaining luxury vehicles will be resolved speedily while following the legal procedures.

Lapeña: McLaren, other supercars in BOC custody still under litigation
Twenty-two luxury vehicles including high-end sports cars known as supercars which were alerted on separate occasions at the Manila International Container Port (MICP) are the subjects of ongoing litigation at the Bureau of Customs.
One brand new McLaren, two units brand new 2017 Chevrolet Camaro -both considered supercars, two units brand new 2017 Range Rover, one brand new 2017 Land Rover Evoque, 12 units brand new Toyota Land Cruisers -- all consigned to Gamma Gray Marketing are undergoing legal proceedings. The MICP Law Division is expected to resolve the dispute.
Supercars 2005 Ferrari F430 2006 and Lamborghini Murcielago consigned to Mary Joy Aguanta and Veronica Angeles, respectively, were declared forfeited in favor of the government by the MICP. However, the case is under appeal proceedings after the importers filed an appeal.
Also considered supercars, one Lamborghini Gallardo and one Rolls Royce consigned to Allan Usman Garcia and Roy Garchitorena, respectively, were alerted in February 2018 and are now under examination and verification of import documents. A warrant of seizure and detention will be issued once the customs authorities find a probable cause to issue the same.
Customs chief Isidro S. Lapeña commits that the Bureau will be steadfast in facilitating the disposition of the said cases.
"Resolving the instant cases necessitates that due process is observed by giving the parties involved the opportunity to present their case," said MICP District Collector lawyer Balmyrson Valdez.

"There are still a few who do illicit activities at the Bureau of Customs. This has to stop. We will not allow smugglers to blatantly disregard our laws, rules, and regulations on importation. The Bureau of Customs will be drastic in its efforts to combat smuggling and all forms of corruption," Lapeña said.
