Which Nation is leading the medal tally in the 2023 Southeast Asian Games? The events that are expected to haul the most medals for the Philippines are Boxing, Gymnastics, Basketball, E-Sports, Dance Sports, Billiards, Judo, Karate, Swimming and Athletics. There is also a big expectation for Beach Volleyball, Fencing and Football.

During the last SEA Games in Vietnam, the Philippines hauled 52 Gold Medals, 70 Silver Medals, and 104 Bronze Medals for a total of  226 Medals. The Philippines got their best finish in the games that they are not hosting since their 57-gold finish in 1993. The Philippines also lost the gold-medal game in Basketball, losing their gold streak that was started way back in 1991.

TV5 Network,  Cignal TV and Smart Communications are the official broadcaster of the event in the Philippines.

All 11 members of the Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) are expected to take part in the 2023 SEA Games. Below is a list of all the participating NOCs.

The opening ceremony for the games will be held on 5 May 2023, however, due to the tight schedule cricket and football tournaments will commence earlier one week before on 29 April 2023.
