DMW and OWWA Working Overtime and Double Time To Release HASC

Kudos to Secretary Susan Ople together with Department of Migrant  Workers and OWWA who are now working overtime just to release Humanitarian Assistance for Saudi Claimants, a cash aid worth Php10,000.

On a Facebook post from OWWA Region 3 San Fernando Pampanga, it can be seen that they have been working last Saturday and Sunday and on Monday past 7:00 P.M.

When you really have a good leader like Secretary Ople all her subordinates will follow.

Following the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), together with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and its attached agency, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to mobilize their resources in assisting distressed Filipino workers from Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, according to GMA News, Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Susan Ople on Monday said the agency has already received more than 7,500 emails from former overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Saudi Arabia who have unpaid wages from their companies that went bankrupt in 2015 and 2016.

DMW is expected to submit next month the list of claimants to Saudi Arabia for payment.

“Ang gusto ng Saudi government, makapagpadala kami ng listahan after Ramadan and bago ako pumunta [doon]...on May 24. On May 20, aalis na ako pa-Saudi Arabia. Hopefully, ang panawagan namin is by May 1, may kumpleto na kaming listahan with the cooperation with the claimants,” she said.

Secretary Ople is very accommodating as she has been reportedly answering Saudi Claimnts inquiries via her official personal Facebook account which is very rare for a high profile public officials.
