Maya Tutorial: Transferred Money to Wrong Bank Account?

 What to do if you happen to transfer money to the Wrong Bank Account from Maya. 

You can try to contact the recipient directly to see if they can transfer the money back to you. For everyone’s safety and peace of mind, Maya does not interfere with the money in the accounts of their users.

Always ensure that the recipient’s account is valid and correct before confirming your transfer because there is no way to reverse transactions that go to incorrect accounts, as stated in Maya’s Terms and Conditions: Be careful when transferring money to other bank account and make sure all the details are correct before hitting the send button.

Once you confirm the Transaction or ask Maya to proceed with the Transaction, you agree that you may not cancel nor reverse such transaction. Maya shall proceed with crediting the account of the Recipient and once the money or fund is in the account of the Beneficiary or Recipient, Maya cannot reverse nor deduct such account without the proper court order or authorization.

In case the recipient account does not exist, you can expect your money to automatically go back to your account within 3 banking days.
