Chris Everingham- Philippine Volcanoes- Getting to Know the Philippine Rugby Team

Chris Everingham born on 29 August 1984 came from Ormoc City, Philippines and based on Sydney, Australia.


Chris Everingham started rugby league as a 8 year old for the Bero Bears under the guidance and care of his loving parents. His talents were quickly recognised and gained merits in the Maitland and Newcastle Representative teams and then onto the Newcastle Knights in his mid-late teens and early twenties winning the S.G.Ball Strength Award with the Knights. While with the Newcastle Knights he studied at the University of Newcastle then completed his Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics there as a winner of a Nutrition and Dietetics Scholarship. He later played for Senior First Grade in local league for both the Maitland Pickers and Cessnock Goannas. At Cessnock, he was the Clubs top try scorer for the season averaging a try per game.


In the beginning of 2011, he was invited back to tour with the Philippines Men's Rugby 15s team to play against Hong Kong.

While his time in the Philippines Volcanoes team, he was fortunate enough to be selected to be apart of some promotional work for the team being featured on the cover of Garage Magazine in 2011 along with Mark McMahon, Yannick Tuason, Ned Stephenson, Kenny Stern and Cleo Gomez, as well as being featured in the Bench Philippines Calendar along with his Rugby mates from the Philippines Volcanoes as well as appear on a billboard for Bench Underwear.

He currently Resides in Sydney, running his Lifted Health Business in the North Shore and frequently travels to the Philippines for leisure, family and Rugby. He has also been interviewed recently for CEO magazine for his view on Breakfast and how to improve health.
