Is Fil-Am, Alex Casingal, nest Jeremy Lin in the making?
The Filipino Reporter said both of Casingal's parents are from Pangasinan in the Philippines.
Casingal, co-captain and point guard for the Irish of Charleston Catholic High School, led his team as they won 40-34 in the state finals on March 17.
According to the report from GMA, Casingal excels not only in sports but in academics as well -- currently having a high grade point average of 4.2, The Filipino Reporter said.
Casingal said he intends to pursue sports medicine.
He received the Presidential Scholarship at four universities: University of Alabama, West Virginia University, Marshall University and Berea University.
