Typhoon Karen moving towards Japan- September 15 Update

Typhoon "KAREN" will not directly affect the country as it continues to move towards the Southern island of Japan according to the latest update from PAGASA.
 
"KAREN" will continue to enhance the Southwest Monsoon that will bring occasional moderate to heavy rains over Central Luzon, Metro Manila, Bicol Region, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA. Residents in these areas are advised to be alert against possible flashfloods and landslides.

Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon, eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, seaboards of Southern Luzon, and over the eastern seaboard of Visayas due to big waves generated by Typhoon "KAREN".



Estimated rainfall amount is from 15 - 30 mm per hour (heavy - intense) within the 550 km diameter of the Typhoon.
