Typhoon Auring Update- January 4, 2013

Here's Typhoon Auring Update- January 4, 2013, Friday. Tropical Depression "AURING" is now traversing Sulu Sea and moving towards Palawan as of January 3- Thursday update from PAGASA.

Public Storm warning signals elsewhere are now lowered.

Residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signal #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 - 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 250 km diameter of the Tropical Depression.

Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the eastern seaboards of the country and over the northern and western seaboards of Northern Luzon due to the Northeast Monsoon and over the western seaboard of Visayas and Mindanao due to the Tropical Depression.

Tropical Storm "AURING" is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. All Public Storm Warning Signals are now lowered.

Estimated rainfall amount is from 10 - 20 mm per hour (heavy - intense) within the 200 km diameter of the Tropical Storm.

Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon and the western seaboards of Southern Luzon due to the Northeast Monsoon.
