How to Join 2013 National Year of Rice- Photography Contest?
President Benigno S. Aquino III launched the National Year of Rice (NYR) 2013, a social marketing and advocacy campaign to help achieve rice self-sufficiency in the country, at the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) Central Experiment Station, Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, Nov. 13.
On behalf of Aquino, Department of Agriculture (DA) Sec. Proceso J. Alcala marked the event with the unveiling of NYR logo, which was witnessed by GawadSaka 2012 awardees, government officials, and heads and staff of DA-attached agencies. GawadSaka is the most prestigious award conferred by DA to outstanding achievers in agriculture and fisheries.
