Filipina caregiver, Rose Fostanes, a diminutive 47-year-old Filipina emerged as the newest star of Israeli reality television, winning the singing competition “X-Factor Israel” on January 14, 2014 and establishing herself as something of a national phenomenon.
After she entered the top 3 following the elimination of the group Fusion, Fostanes also sang the Alicia Keys hit song, "If I Ain't Got You," with her mentor Shiri Maimon.
The X Factor Israel is the Israeli version of the British television music competition The X Factor, created by Simon Cowell. The show started airing fall of 2013 on Reshet. The first season is hosted by the Israeli fashion model Bar Refaeli.
