How to apply for a Tax Identification Number (TIN)

A taxpayer identification number (TIN) is issued by the Bureau of Internal Revenue for employees in the public and private sector.

For Individuals:

For self-employed and mixed income individuals

For individuals earning purely compensation income

For non-resident citizens

For Overseas Contract Workers/Seamen earning purely foreign sourced income

For one-time taxpayers (with no previously issued TIN)

For persons registering under E.O. 98 (securing a TIN to transact with other gov’t offices)

For Non-Individuals:

For estates and trusts

For corporations/partnerships (taxable/non-taxable)

For government agencies and instrumentalities

For local government units

For persons registering under E.O. 98 (securing a TIN to transact with other gov’t offices)
