The win also helped the Filipinas bounce back from a straight-sets loss to Indonesia on Wednesday in their tournament debut.
Alyssa Valdez finished with 13 points while Dindin Manabat had eight markers. Rachel Anne Daquis and team captain Jovelyn Gonzaga each had seven for the Philippines.
