The
19-year-old skateboarder represents the Filipino love for family and
country. Didal had humble beginnings as a daughter of a carpenter and
sidewalk vendor. She brought home a gold medal in the 2018 Asian Games
women’s skateboarding street event. More than bringing pride for the
country, she used the win to improve her family’s life.
