Ang Babae sa Septic Tank official entry of the Philippines in Academy Awards 2012

Ang Babae sa Septic Tank will represent the Philippines in the Best Foreign Language Film category of the 84th Academy Awards!

The Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) selected the indie movie, “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” as the Philippines’ official entry for the Best Foreign Film Category in the upcoming Oscars 2012 or the 84th Academy Awards.

The movie is topbilled by Eugene Domingo. The other movies that were considered were “Ikaw Ang Pag-Ibig,” “Thelma,” “Zombadings 1: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington,” “Rosario,” “Senior Year,” “Presa,” and “Dalaw.” The fate of Domingo’s movie (on whether it will be included in the list of Oscar nominees that will be read during the awards night in February 2012) will be known on January 24, 2012.
