Gwendolyn Ruais wins Miss World 2011 1st Runner-Up

Miss Venezuela Ivian Sarcos bagged the crown  of Miss World 2011 while Gwendolyn Ruias of Philippines is the 1st runner-up at the Miss World 2011 competition held at Earls Court in London on Sunday, November 6, 2011, while Miss Puerto Rico Amanda Perez came third in the contest.

Around 113 beauty contestants have joined the pageant with the show being broadcast live to an estimated audience of more than one billion viewers in 150 countries.

Gwendolyn Ruais, Miss World 2011 First Runner-Up, in the Question and Answer portion said “To be Miss World is my dream job, and I say job because it has a lot of responsibilities but there’s nothing I love more than communicating with other people. As Miss World you get to use your potential and your voice to help people all around the world, and what is more wonderful than doing what you love by helping others,” Gwendolyn said in the Q&A portion.
