Statement: DFA on the results of Malaysia’s 13th General Elections:
The Government of the Republic of the Philippines extends its congratulations to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and to the Barisan Nasional on their victory at the 13th Malaysian General Elections held on 05 May 2013.
We value Prime Minister Najib’s personal commitment to the GPH-MILF peace talks and the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro, and we will continue to work closely with him in our common aspiration for peace and security.
We look forward to the further deepening of our bilateral relations and continuing our close cooperation, especially in the areas of socio-economic growth and the welfare of our peoples.
