Additional routes for point-to-point (P2P) bus service available soon

Additional routes for P2P bus service coming soon.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) announced the qualification of Froelich Tours, Inc. to operate two additional premium point-to-point (P2P) routes. These two routes are from North EDSA to Makati City and from North EDSA to Ortigas.

The Board invited interested bus companies to submit qualification documents to provide P2P in the two routes.

The Board’s Pre-Qualification Committee with the assistance of the Technical Working Group (TWG) evaluated the qualification documents submitted by the participating bus companies, and recommended Froelich Tours, Inc. to operate an interim service on the routes it applied for.

Froelich Tours Inc. has also been directed to submit its application for the issuance of Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) for the two additional P2P routes. The Committee’s recommendation was approved by the Board.

“We are seeing encouraging results of P2P, hence the qualification of Froelich Tours will help us provide the riding public additional and better transportation service,” LTFRB Chairman Atty. Winston Ginez said.

Ginez added that through this non-stop bus services, the Board is encouraging private car owners to use the premium bus service to help reduce the number of cars on the road.
