Qatar has won the hosting job for the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup. All Games will be played in the City of DOHA.
After the successful run of FIFA World Cup in 2022, Qatar is looking for another major sporting event, the FIBA World Cup 2027.
I say France with Germany and Italy they have never hosted the FIBA Basketball World Cup. My prediction for the 20th edition of this event for the cities, arenas, dates and slogan. If they win the bid it will be the first time these three countries have host the FIBA Basketball World Cup This event would be lead by France with 4 cities Germany with 2 cities along with Italy, as predicted by Light Tower in Skycrapercity.com
Meanwhile, as anticipated by Walbanger in Skycrapercity.com, Australia has said it's interested and has quality arenas but FIBA probably won't want to return to the Eastern Time Zones 3 times in a row. So somewhere in Europe, South America, Canada, or even Israel? Maybe we'll see an audacious bid from Qatar or the UAE. And yes it will be held in Qatar.
