Overseas Absentee Voting Registration 2013 is record-breaking

The Overseas Absentee Voting Registration for 2013 election is record-breaking. The 2013 OAV registration figures break past registration records

According to the report from Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on November 6, as of October 30, the total number of overseas absentee voting (OAV) registrants in the ongoing OAV registration exercise has reached 950,216 highlighting the registration surge for the upcoming 2013 Senatorial elections, the Department of Foreign Affairs announced today.

The said registration figures surpassed the 2007 Senatorial Elections and the 2010 Presidential Elections OAV registration records of new OAV registrants.

The total number of new OAV registrants for the 2013 Elections has already reached 360,386. Adding this to the stock total of 589,830, the 2013 OAV registrants now is 950,216.
