Roxas reiterated the BOI investigation will be truthful and transparent and will be finished under a clear timeline.

Secretary of the Interior and Local Government Mar Roxas today urged various sectors calling for an independent investigation to await the outcome of the probe of the Philippine National Police’s Board of Inquiry into the killing of the 44 Special Action Force (SAF) troopers in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.

As per PNP Advisory, the new composition of the Board of Inquiry is as follows:
- PDDG Leonardo Espina
- PDir. Catalino Rodriguez Jr.
- PDir. Benjamin Magalong
- PCSupt. Generoso Cerbo
- PCSupt. John Sosito
Espina also formed Operation Audit Team to assist the BOI composed of the following:
- PSSupt. Benigno Durana Jr.
- PSSupt. Cesar Binag
- PSSupt. Robert Po
