Manny Pacquiao to run as Vice President in 2016

Manny Paquiao eyes the Vice Presidency on 2016. Saranggani representative Manny Pacquiao disclosed this in a radio interview while in Mexico to promote his November 12, 2011 fight with Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez “Come 2016, I am to run for vice president. No more boxing at that time,” the 32-year-old boxer-politician said. Prior to this he will run as a Governor on 2013 as preparation for a higher government position.

However, according to Comelec Manny Pacquiao is not quailified to run for Vice Presidency since during that time Pacquiao will only be 38 years old while according to the Philippine Constitution the candidate must be at least 40 years of age to be qualified on running for Vice Presidency.
